#42: Tools to survive a locked-down winter

As the global turmoil of 2020 shows no signs of abating, one of the wisest things we can do for our mental health is to keep our focus on things that are within our own sphere of influence.

How are our friends, family and colleagues doing? Are our neighbours OK? Is there anything we can do to help? It can be as simple as picking up the phone, or knocking on a door.

Yet our capacity to be able to help others starts with looking after ourselves. Are we taking the rest we need? Are we feeding our minds and bodies with content and food that will sustain us – that gives us energy and keeps us sharp?

This week, I’ve curated some resources that might prove useful as we enter the darker months of an already dark year:

//  How to make this winter not totally suck, according to psychologists

//  How resetting your psychological baseline can make your life better

//  10 of the best online yoga platforms for men

//  What is spiritual bypassing? Beware of these 10 types

//  How you spend your time is how you spend your life

Plus much more besides…

As always, I hope you find something valuable you can use today. Enjoy…

“If you find purpose in your suffering you can tolerate all the pain that comes with it.”
